Consultancies will sell you a six-figure AI audit, an 80-page report and three executive workshops. We have advised enough Moroccan executive committees in 2025 to make one claim: most executives do not need a consultancy. They need a method. Here it is, in seven condensed steps — the one we teach over three days in our programme AI for Executives.

Step 1 — Tell the disruption from the noise

First of all: spend a day using ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini yourself. Not a demonstration. Real use. Compare. Observe. Everything begins there.

Step 2 — Map the use cases

List the processes in your organisation that consume human time to produce text, figures and repetitive decisions. That is your raw material.

Step 3 — Prioritise on two axes

A classic but formidable matrix: business impact × technical feasibility. Keep the three to five use cases that maximise both.

Step 4 — Decide Build, Buy or Partner

For each use case, a trade-off. Build in-house, buy a tool, or partner with a provider. Criteria: data sensitivity, internal resources, total cost over 3 years.

Step 5 — Frame governance

An executive-level sponsor. A monthly AI committee. A usage charter signed by all. Without governance, AI projects die at pilot stage.

Step 6 — Comply with law 09-08

Before any deployment: a legal audit. In Morocco, the CNDP keeps watch. Fines are starting to take effect. It is your personal responsibility as an executive.

Step 7 — Measure, adjust, repeat

KPIs defined from the framing stage. Quarterly report to the executive committee. Quick pivot on the cases that do not take off. AI rewards iteration, not the fixed plan.
